Biotage Sfär columns are available as C18 and C4 media - C4 is slightly more polar than C18, and therefore the selectivity of C4 is increased for smaller and more polar molecules

Biotage Sfär C18 D is the column of choice when you want to increase efficiency and speed in your reverse phase separations. These high capacity columns make it possible to routinely load three times more sample than preparative HPLC. This means that a smaller column will do the job in a single injection and use less solvent along the way.Cost and time are reduced while performance is increased, thanks to spherical 30 µm well-packed silica particles and the new design of the Sfär columns that makes them even more resistant to high pressure (as high as 17 bar or 247 psi)) often generated by high performance C18 media.
